Payment Modules give the store owner a way to interface with several established companies for credit card processing, as well as a few methods that simply store information on the local server for off-line processing. There are also modules available for handling cash, money order, and check payments, which do not involve an external merchant.
The Credit Cards section lists various credit cards that are available for use. These cards can be edited or deleted and/or you can add your own credit cards. A credit card can be left in the listing but disabled by editing the status.

Shipping Modules give the store owner a way to change which shipping options are available to the customer at checkout time. During the checkout process, these modules are called to calculate the final shipping and packaging costs for the order. The price can be affected by how many products have been ordered, how much they weigh, as well as any other configuration settings set either in the shipping module itself or in the administrative tool settings.
